A successful social media strategy includes equal parts content creation, engagement and research using analytics. In my eight years at Harding, I've learned how to use all three to make strategic and successful communication decisions.

Creating digital spaces to entertain and inform
A brand's digital presence is oftentimes the first experience a future customer has with that brand.

For the last eight years, I have been responsible for content on Harding.edu and the University's mobile app since 2017. Work includes pages featuring academic programs, on-campus services, events, and other areas of interest. Tasks include navigation strategy, page creation and design, use of photos, videos and graphics and copywriting,
Writing
Creating words that connect
Writing is where my love for storytelling began. It was the first time I realized I had a gift for taking a person, place or thing and telling its story in a way that engages an audience.

Creating stories through film
Telling a story through use of video might seem like a pretty straightforward process, but there's a lot of planning, organization, and messaging strategy that goes into telling a story through video.

By storyboarding, script writing, and interviewing, I have learned how to take a story and highlight it in a condensed video format to engage an audience.
